Last Sat., my wife and I went down to Brooklyn Park, MN to observe first-hand an Angelfood distribution. What an amazing operation, and what an opportunity to make connections with unchurched people while giving folks a hand up during this troubled economic time. I am so excited to announce that the month of April will be our first venture into new waters as we will host our first distribution on April 25th, from 2Pm - 4PM. Orders need to be in to the church office by April 12 at 1PM. I know that this is Easter Sunday, but this is the deadline. One thing I learned during our observation is the necessity of strict adherance to posted deadlines, otherwise we will not be able to meet our established deadlines with Angelfood.
I pray that everyone will be able to join us as we launch forward into this new venture!

Jesus was asked by a young religious leader what the greatest commandment was. Jesus responded to him by saying that loving the Lord your God was the greatest, and the second was like, or equal to, the first and that was to love your neighbor as yourself.
The motivation of Christ was love. John was so impacted by the love of God that was manifest through Christ Jesus that he declared in 1 John 4 that “God is love.”
Over the millenia of Church history, we who call ourselves Christians have not been very good at either command, loving God or loving our neighbor.
I believe that we who would call ourselves “Christian” must refocus on the basics of the faith and love of God and our fellow humans certainly is foundational to our faith.

I haven’t posted for a while, and I want to explain why.
We are starting a new ministry here at DLAG, and I am so excited!
For many years, I have wanted to help people in a practical, helpful manner,
but have never came across what I was looking for until mid-summer of last year.
After thinking on the idea for a while, I presented the idea to the church board
in late fall, we entered into the steps to being our involvement with Angel Food
Ministries. I encourage you to go to their website http://www.angelfoodministries.com/
and join us in this amazing opportunity.
We are tentatively planning a training date on March 28 here at the church. If you have
any questions, please call the church office.
